Ah… so that’s what the fuss is about… Tried Er Jie Curry Puff for the first time thanks to a group buy (the “in” thing these days) organised by my estate, and was greatly impressed! 👍🏻 The filling was packed to the brim (no empty pockets inside that cheat your feelings 😒). Crucially, the curry paste was moist yet not runny, and the little chicken cubes were still tender & juicy - an outcome of them being cooked separately from the rempah. 🤤 Now, if I could try this fresh off the fryer…

The humble curry puff but ultimate comfort food for me. I have a weakness for it since young and would enjoy the store next to Rex way back when. Nowadays, will order from Er Jie, or pick one up if I pass Old Chang Kee. I actually wanted a pic with me holding the curry puff perfectly paired with kopi siu dai. Since was here next door for hotpot, might as well dropped by here again (been here a couple of times) for my all time favourite curry puff with luncheon meat filling. I prefer crust to be thinner so here suit me perfectly !
